Hi, I’m Dr. Hendrix.
I've always been fascinated by people—what shapes the way we think, feel, relate to others, and make sense of our experiences. That curiosity is what drew me to psychiatry and ultimately inspired me to create Origins Psychiatry.
I wanted to build a practice where I could take the time to truly get to know my patients, develop meaningful therapeutic relationships, and provide thoughtful, individualized care. My hope is that you'll feel comfortable being yourself, knowing that you can bring even the most complicated parts of your life into our conversations.
My Philosophy
I believe meaningful psychiatric care begins with understanding the person behind the symptoms. Your experiences, relationships, values, and the ways you've learned to navigate the world all shape your mental health. Taking the time to understand these things allows us to approach treatment with greater depth and intention.
At the heart of my approach is genuine curiosity. I want you to feel comfortable discussing even the most difficult parts of your life without fear of judgment. Together, we'll explore your experiences, recognize patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of what shapes the way you think, feel, and relate to others.
I also believe meaningful growth sometimes requires difficult conversations. I'll offer honest observations, ask thoughtful questions, and gently challenge perspectives when helpful. I welcome that same honesty from you, whether you're questioning a recommendation, disagreeing with me, or sharing something about our work together that doesn't feel right.
This understanding guides your treatment. I combine evidence-based psychiatry with psychotherapy-informed care and attention to your overall well-being. Together, we'll develop an individualized plan that reflects your needs, values, and goals—helping you find relief, gain insight, and make meaningful changes in your life.

The name Origins reflects my belief that understanding where we've been helps us understand where we're going. Every person's story influences how they experience mental health, relationships, and change. By exploring those origins together, we can create a thoughtful path forward.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, caring for plants, finding new coffee shops, traveling, and discovering new perfumes. These interests remind me of the importance of balance, curiosity, and finding joy in everyday life.

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS NOVEMBER 2026
Thank you for your interest in Origins Psychiatry.
Beginning psychiatric care is a personal decision, and finding the right fit matters. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to learn about what you're looking for, answer questions, and explore whether Origins Psychiatry may be the right fit for your needs.
I personally review each inquiry and aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
Please note: Origins Psychiatry is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. Individuals with commercial insurance or without insurance are welcome to inquire. At this time, I am unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid beneficiaries for covered services.
Consultations do not include diagnostic evaluation or treatment and do not establish a physician-patient relationship. This service is not intended for emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department.
