Good Faith Estimate
Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, patients who are uninsured or choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected costs of their medical care before services are provided. Because Origins Psychiatry is a self-pay practice, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the anticipated cost of your care before your first appointment and whenever appropriate thereafter.
What Is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected charges for your psychiatric care, including appointments and any other anticipated services. The estimate is based on the information available at the time it is provided. Actual costs may vary depending on your individual treatment needs and the services ultimately provided. The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment such as if complications or special circumstances occur. Please note: this estimate includes only services provided by Origins Psychiatry. Costs for prescription medications, laboratory testing, psychotherapy with other providers, imaging, or services provided by other healthcare professionals are not included and may be billed separately.
Your Rights
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit: https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS NOVEMBER 2026
Thank you for your interest in Origins Psychiatry.
Beginning psychiatric care is a personal decision, and finding the right fit matters. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to learn about what you're looking for, answer questions, and explore whether Origins Psychiatry may be the right fit for your needs.
I personally review each inquiry and aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
Please note: Origins Psychiatry is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. Individuals with commercial insurance or without insurance are welcome to inquire. At this time, I am unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid beneficiaries for covered services.
Consultations do not include diagnostic evaluation or treatment and do not establish a physician-patient relationship. This service is not intended for emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department.
