Payment is due at the time of service.

• Major credit cards, HSA, and FSA cards are accepted.

Origins Psychiatry is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.

• Patients with commercial insurance or without insurance are welcome to request a complimentary consultation.

• At this time, Origins Psychiatry is unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid beneficiaries, including patients enrolled in Medicare Advantage or Medicaid managed care plans..

• Superbills are available upon request for patients with commercial insurance who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.

• If you plan to seek reimbursement, I encourage you to contact your insurance company before your first appointment to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, self-pay patients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of their care before services are provided.

Appointment times are reserved exclusively for each patient.

• Appointments cancelled with fewer than 24 business hours’ notice may be subject to the full appointment fee.

Secure messages are reviewed during business hours.

• Secure messaging is intended for non-urgent questions and routine communication. It should not be used for emergencies, urgent medication concerns, or other time-sensitive issues requiring immediate attention, as most messages receive a response within 1–2 business days.

• Messages requiring significant medical decision-making, psychotherapy, or extensive discussion are generally best addressed during a scheduled appointment.

• Emergencies should always be directed to 911 or your nearest emergency department.

Mental health doesn't always fit neatly into scheduled appointments. Origins Psychiatry offers secure between-visit communication to help support your care.

Patients have access to a secure patient portal where they can:

• Send non-urgent messages and questions, allowing us to stay connected between appointments without relying on email or text messaging.

• Request prescription refills

• Complete questionnaires and symptom check-ins. These help us track symptoms over time and make more informed treatment decisions together.

• Access appointment information and shared documents

• Upload records or relevant forms between visits

Your privacy is important. Origins Psychiatry follows all applicable HIPAA privacy and security standards.

• Communication occurs through secure systems designed to protect your health information.

Origins Psychiatry is an outpatient practice and does not provide crisis or emergency psychiatric services.
